About Jimmy

Jimmy Jing Xia is an illustrator and physician. He holds degrees in Visual Art and Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from Brown University and an MD from Weill Cornell Medicine. Currently serving as a resident physician specializing in Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology, Jimmy integrates his passions for art, medicine, and storytelling.

In the professional realm, Jimmy has served as a lead illustrator for Plaid Hat Games, where he crafted character and environmental designs for tabletop games such as Comanauts, Battlelands, and Aftermath. He has also collaborated with a diverse range of clients including Crunchyroll, Use All Five, and Flowly, among others.

Known by his creative alias Jingsketch, Jimmy offers valuable resources for the digital art community. He has developed a best-selling set of brushes for Procreate and Photoshop and authored numerous tutorial books. His educational materials are utilized by over half a million artists worldwide.
